Crescent Real Estate Equities Company
Commercial properties are the butter to Crescent's bread. Texas-based property investment firm Crescent Real Estate Equities owns or has interests in some 25 Class-A office buildings totaling more than 9.2 million sq. ft. of space. In addition to its office holdings, the company owns a handful of upscale spa resorts as well as interests in several residential developments in the Southwest. CEO John Goff founded the company in 1994. He sold Crescent to Morgan Stanley's real estate division in 2007 and reacquired the firm with Barclays Capital in 2009.
